Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai

I’m not really digging into watching new shows because I hate waiting for each episode – but this time I made an exception because one of the series from the fall season.

As the title says – Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai – translate as There’s no way my Sister can be this Cute – is a comedy involving a cute girl [obviously] who is into doujinshi and eroge stuff.

Kirino and her brother Kyousuke didn’t have that close relationship as siblings. But one day – Kirino’s wondering what her hobbies reflect upon other people.

So – starting with her brother – she chooses to let him know about her secret. A large amount of DVDs, figures and artbooks – depicting a certain passion for little sisters. From here it’s just a matter of time til she makes her brother play one of her favorites eroges.

As a piece of advice – her brother tells her to look up for other people like her and try to meet them. So Kirino ends up in a otaku-tea-party where Kyousuke plays as her guardian angel – looking out for her from aside.

Kirino is now able to get more involved into her passions – but still one thing makes this harder. Because of a stupid accident – her father finds out about her passion – so her brother must fight for her and help her.

From now – their relationship gets complicated but they tend to be closer – looking out for each other even if they don’t let it see.

I think of this as a start for a clicheic brother-sister complex – and hopefully this is not going to evolve to some sort of Kiss x Sis thing.

The story is good – and you don’t get that crappy feeling of hasty-ecchi. So, something good might come our way through this anime. 🙂

  1. I don’t find this series clicheic. I watched it all though I was very doutbful when I read the synopsis and I have to say that it left me satisfied since it made me laugh and had some heartwarming moments.
