Danny Choo’s documentary about the pop-culture of Japan is an intensive work of defining the best aspects of Japan’s media spread throughout the world.
From gathering information about figure collectors and gaming addicts – we can see that many people out there choose to live constantly for their biggest passion.
The previous articles was about a cosplayer that is featured in this show. Like her, many other offered a piece of their lives – a small part of their hobbies and passions.
Culture: Japan brings in front of you an important aspect of real life that inspired many anime series – the high-school.
Also we are placed in the wonderful world of figma-creating artists. Yes, you can learn a lot about figures and the process that give birth to them.
The documentary is up on Youtube and you can watch it right below. Enjoy it!
Okay..the weird Japan is back!
This morning I had the chance to learn a bit about a new japanese product – some neko ears-inspired headphones which are probably very interesting for all the creepy fat otakus out there.
Even if this thing is meant to be cute…well, for me at least, it’s not. Those girls are cute but this thing on their head ruins my perfect picture of them.

What I can appreciate at this product is the sound quality it has to offer – but the japanese neko fetish let’s me know this is not going to be on my wish list.
Alright guys. I already know you like it…you’re perverts I know, don’t try to deny it.
If you planned to visit Japan in autumn I must say you did a great job. And I say this because starting with this month – the natural scenery of this country becomes more beautiful, more intriguing and pleasant to your eyes.
I’m talking about the colorful tree leaves – koyo – which help creating a perfect landscape – almost touched by magic.
Fire-red, orange or a beautiful dark yellow, this leaves make photographers from all over the world to come here and capture this magnificent natural show.
Deserted places become crowded in no time, and with them is brought the joy of life. What can be more life-experiencing than truly enjoying a day in the middle of the nature? All the colors, the wind, the feelings that trees can spread around this time. I can’t imagine a better image than some dark red leaves under the blessed rains, moving slowly and emanating a sweet autumn scent.
I’m a nature lover and more than that, autumn is my favorite season – so I’m too excited only thinking about those landscapes.
Some of the best koyo-viewing places are in Kyoto, Tokyo and in the northern part of Japan.
The Tokufuji Station, the Shugakuin Imperial Villa or the Nishizawa Valley are some attractive spots for tourists. The autumn leaves define Japan’s beauty til late november.
Of course that other natural elements receive a new face after the autumn begins but the koyo spectacle it’s still better than anything else.
Oookay…that is unusual for me but normal for the artist right? If I don’t get it that means I’m not capable of understanding art?
Meee? The one who percepts this world a constant video show? The one who enjoys the colors of life more than anything else? The one who tries to see beneath the simple messages of things he’s confronting?
I don’t think so. I might be dumb or stupid or whateva, but this is still strange for me.
It’s not like trying to describe this image…
I know Britney shocked and still tries to do that. But being “reinvented” by using the image of a loli wearing a swimsuit…that is a bit eccentric.
I like swimsuit…who doesn’t? But this image isn’t the perfect one to show me the beauty of wearing a swimsuit. Especially when banning lolis comes into play.
Lolis have this thing – people say it’s bad but people also say it’s good. If we think about the fact that manga depicts these fresh outta-diaper females as erotic instruments – obviously that is wrong.
But wrong is good for some people. Anyway if we think about the innocence and the cute smile and whatever the fuck can be related to a child [I freakin hate kids] for some this might be the center of their heart’s goodness.
Apparently Britney is encouraging the first aspect of loli existence. It is just art or it is something that could cause big trouble among individuals of modern society? You decide, my answer was written here – if you didn’t manage to see it – read more carefully. Beeotch!
I always wondered what makes a human being feel so low, so desperate in order to take extreme measures and end her life. It came again into my attention that an 8 years old japanese girl hanged herself, mostly because she was bullied at school.
Of course that the principal and other students denied everything – but I’m sure that those notes with dark messages didn’t appear from nowhere on her notebooks. I don’t think she refused to go to school just because she didn’t feel like it.
And of course that bullies will never cease to make one feel miserable mainly because this makes them important.
Anyways as sad as it is, a family was destroyed – and the people responsible still live even they don’t deserve it.
A young girl is now lost – because I’m sure that heaven it’s not waiting for her. How someone can be so mean in order to deposit his/her cruelty into another person’s soul. Don’t you feel remorse, pity, don’t you realize you’re only human and what you’re doing is wrong?
I guess not you filthy scum. But I’m sure that Hell is waiting for you, motherfucker!
I didn’t see this til today – even if the game hit the market last month. This is a puzzle-adventure game that features extremely great 3D effects. As you will see in the video below – when you move your console, the environment in the game changes accordingly to the used angle.
The game’s name is Rittai Kakushi E Attakoreda (Hidden 3D Image: There It Is!). And it is AWESOME!
Well, here I am – doing some kind of research. I started to get interested in many many different domains over the years and I started to read a lot of sites/blogs. But til now, I never believed that fashion could interest someone like me.
I always loved the clothing styles in anime and j-doramas and even cosplay costumes but I never thought that I should try learning a lil’bit about fashion. But now I realized that design and style is something that everybody should be aware of.
So, here I am again, checking up some work of Marie Sasago, a journalism student in Tokyo and also a photographer who works for Japanesestreets.com. She covers both male and female clothing styles and besides that she attends fashion events. Of course I love the female models but there are also some excellent male fashion examples.
