Queen’s Blade: Spiral Chaos

The Japanese media tends to trust hand-held devices – probably this is the main reason the consoles get attention – and more than that, most games are developed for these platforms.

It is the case of Queen’s Blade: Spiral Chaos – which looks like a promising RPG – with a bunch of developed stories – fighting modes and an armor-destroying system.

Inspired by the visual combat books and the later anime adaptation – Spiral Chaos follows strictly the story of the Queen’s Blade Universe.

In a world where’s terror, violence and social differences seem to be the key of judging others – everybody needs a ruler.

This is why they need a Queen who must be older than 12 – wise, beautiful and brave, powerful and fearless.

The Queen must be determined by battle – so we have a lot of warriors wanting to affirm themselves.

The official site –  PSP Queen’s Blade – has character info sheets for 20 of the girls used in the game. And you already know them from the artbooks and the anime series.

Being a RPG – the game lets you the pleasure to choose how to continue playing. You can explore a lot, bringing characters closer to each other. Strategy is a part of how you can win.

The armor destroying system – is what can be called a sexy battle mode – because by destroying clothes – other things can be revealed. This sounds so Queen’s Blade.

The game presents elements of visual novels – lots of dialogues due to the interaction of the combatants.

Being an RPG – you can develop your character – repair or buy items – you can use skill points – assuring your victory.

But in the end – the fun consists in expressing beauty. The QB series were meant to attract through the females presented in there. The game does the same.

The site also has some wallpapers if you are interested. Just follow the link – QB Illustrations – and enjoy.

Playstation Phone

Rumors were true. Sony PlayStation came after all with this new console that resembles a cellphone.

With 512MB of Ram, 1 GB of ROM, a multitouch screen and a soft allowing you to download games – the PlayStation phone is perfect for travels.

The phone supports MicroSD cards and it’s not a PSP2 but rather an experiment of creating a Sony Ericsson with a PSP interface.

The release date it’s not fixed yet – but probably later in this winter or early spring the device can be purchased.

PSP Go[es down]

PSP Go is Sony’s new product in the console world. Go is absolute different from the classical PSP, being internet based, allowing gamers from all over the world to direct download their games from PlaystationStore [the only way to get your hands on the games].

With a minimum of 16GB of internal flash memory, the new model, released on the first of this month, will not totally replace the well-known PSP 3000.

Why? because the world still needs the other PSP models and Sony decided to continue with the production of it. And of course because the new PSP is not sold out like fresh bread.

From about 50,000 units available in France, only 8,000 were sold to PSP users. I personally confronted some-time ago with the idea of PC vs Console. And I heard rumours about the future of the consoles which will make the PCs to dissapear [yeah right]. Now it’s time to face the truth, dear reader. Consoles will never make PCs dissapear. It’s impposible. The game industry still relies on PC games and nowadays you see that most of the console games have a PC version.

So, I would prefer to sit am my Pc and play, I dunno, Wolfenstein, System Shock 2 or something. I feel that the crysis of consoles it’s about to restart.

Still Sony scheduled to release a new model of PSP next year:PSP 2! Maybe this one will sell better!
